 Kentucky State Police Arrest Two Citizens on Charges Related to Child Sexual Abuse

WESTERN Ky. (01/08/15) – The Kentucky State Police has performed two arrests on Western Kentucky residents in cases related to Child Sexual Abuse.

On January 7, 2015, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 4-Elizabethtown units, arrested Gregory Witte, 54, for charges related to possession and distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Witte was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Witte's residence during the evening hours of January 7, 2015.

Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.

Witte is currently charged with multiple counts of possession and two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor. Witte was lodged in the Jefferson County Detention Center.

In the other case, Clement Raymer Jr. of Beaver Dam, KY was indicted by the Ohio County Grand Jury for the following charges: 10 Counts Sexual Abuse 1st Deg, Victim U 12; 10 Counts Unlawful Transaction with a Minor, Illegal Sex Act; and 10 Counts of Distribution of Obscene Matter to a Minor 1st Offense.

Raymer was taken into custody and lodged in the Ohio County Jail.
