Uncle Lee’s Last Day

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (01/09/15) – Uncle Lee’s has announced their final closing date. This major outdoor-oriented business will be shutting its’ doors in the evening hours of Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.

As most local citizens are aware, since the announcement of the closing of Uncle Lee’s over a month ago, the parking lot of the business has been packed with shoppers from throughout the region. Many were onsite to take advantage of sale prices, but others were there simply because Uncle Lee’s has been a part of their lives since their childhood.

Lee Fauntleroy, owner of Uncle Lee’s, has released a statement saying that he, his family, and all his fellow employees wish to express their sincere appreciation and profound gratitude to each and every customer for the nearly forty years of business. Mr. Fauntleroy stated that they all feel gratified by all the heartfelt well wishes from loyal friends and customers.

In the statement, Mr. Fauntleroy wanted to remind local citizens that the restaurant in the front of the store would be staying open, and that the Sunshine Garden Center will reopen in the Spring season under new ownership.
