Muhlenberg Board Approves School Workers Pay Reduction

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (01/12/15) – On Monday, Jan. 12, 2014, the Muhlenberg County Board of Education meeting at the Felix Martin Hall located on the West Campus was almost full of local citizens and school employees concerned about the possibility of an estimated 10 percent pay cut.

Once at the meeting, several individuals voiced their opinions before the vote was made. In the end, however, the pay cut was approved by the board, with a possibility of a local utility tax for local citizens to lessen the pay cut.

Below is video coverage of discussion concerning the pay cut and select comments at the board meeting.
