Elkton Man Arrested after Trapping Woman in Room 

WESTERN Ky. (1/21/2015) – The Kentucky State Police performed an arrest regarding unlawful Imprisonment and drug charges as a result of an incident that occurred on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015.

According to information provided by KSP officials, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at approximately 2:56 a.m., Trooper Curtis Crick arrested James K. Mock, 53, of Elkton, at his residence on Allegre Road.

The arrest stemmed from a report from a victim, stating that she was abducted and assaulted by Mock on Monday, January 19. The female victim alleged that Mock had called her to his residence to retrieve mail. While she was at his residence, Mr. Mock forcibly removed her from her vehicle and proceeded to lock her in an upstairs room. The victim was able to escape and contacted Todd County Central Dispatch for assistance.

Mock was lodged in the Todd County Detention Center and charged with Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, Assault 4th Degree (Domestic) 3rd or > within 5 Years, Resisting Arrest and Violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.

After Mock’s arrest, Trooper Crick was able to obtain a search warrant for his residence on Allegre Road. On Tuesday, January 20, at approximately 12:32 p.m., officers executed the search warrant. Officers located suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during the search.

Mr. Mock was subsequently charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense – Meth and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 

Trooper Luis Palmer, the Todd County Sheriff’s Department and the Trenton Police Department assisted Trooper Crick with the execution of the search warrant.

Mr. Mock currently remains lodged in the Todd County Detention Center.
