Officers Seek Suspect after Marijuana Found on Infant

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky.  (01/23/2015) – The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) is seeking public assistance/information in regards to an ongoing drug investigation.

In a recent press release, MPD states that officers were dispatched to a localDay Care in reference to a possible drug complain. Once on the scene, officers were informed by employees that a male infant was brought into the day care center. While removing the infant’s coat, a suspected marijuana joint fell from the clothing. The Kentucky Cabinet for Human Resources (CHR) was contacted regarding the incident.

As the investigation went underway, CHR made contact with Brianka Dulin and Dekayvious Duvall SR, the parents of the child. Both parents openly refused to meet social workers at their residence on Eastwind Court for a safety and welfare check of the child’s living conditions. As officers assisted social workers at the residence, probable cause was located on scene to obtain a search warrant of the residence. Once inside the home, evidence and contraband was recovered strongly indicating that the couple was involved in trafficking Crack Cocaine.

Among the items found in the residence were substantial amounts of suspected Crack Cocaine, a loaded .45 caliber handgun, scales and a counterfeiting pen. Also located was a box containing an un-prescribed controlled substance known as Suboxone. The counterfeit pen is an item used often by dealers to avoid receiving counterfeit money for drug sales.

Immediately thereafter, an arrest warrant was issued for both Dulin and Duvall. On Jan. 22, Dulin was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Dulin was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.

Dekayvious Duvall is still at large and is being sought by local law enforcement. If anyone has any information regarding the location of Duvall, please contact officials at 270-821-1720, or call Hopkins County Crime Stoppers at 270-825-1111. The Crime Stoppers line now has texting capabilities to feel free to text information to the aforementioned number. All Crime Stoppers tips are confidential and could lead to a monetary award.
