 Nineteen-Year-Old Arrested on Drug Charges in Central City

KENTUCKY (02/04/15) - On Tuesday January 3, 2015, at around 6 PM, Police officials with the Central City Police department performed an arrest involving a local female in possession of various drug trafficking materials.

Officials stated that officers were on location at Pam Place Apartments in an attempt to serve an arrest warrant. While on the scene, officers noted a strong odor resembling that of marijuana from the apartment. Once a search was obtained for the residence, officers located approximately 4 pounds of processed marijuana, over $500 in cash, the drugs known as Suboxone and Dilaudid, and various other forms of drug paraphernalia.

Nineteen-year-old Miranda Shott of Central City was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (Over 8 ounces and less than five pounds), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Schott was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

An arrest warrant is currently being obtained for a second suspect involved in the case.

The Central City Police was assisted on the scene by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department, Kentucky State Police, Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Kentucky State Police K-9 Unit.
