 Sheriff’s Office Charges 40 in Muhlenberg Drug Roundup 



MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (02/06/15) – The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office has announced a drug roundup performed on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, resulting in charges against 40 individuals.

Sheriff’s Office officials announced today that Deputies, along with the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force (PNTF) has officially charged 40 individual, most of which were involved in trafficking of illegal drugs. The investigation that led to this major strike on the local illegal drug market actually began a few months ago when Detective Wade Griggs and Detective Troy Gibson (assigned to PNTF) began an ongoing operation.

On Feb. 3, Detective Griggs and Gibson filed Criminal Complaints at the Muhlenberg County Attorney’s Office. Two days later, officers met at the Powderly City Building for a briefing before attempting to serve arrest warrants for those being charged.

As of 3:35 PM on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, the following persons have been arrested…

Nicholos D. Shanks, 143 McConnel Drive, Central City, trafficking in synthetic cannabinoid, possession of drug paraphernalia
Samantha Leigh Ann Sailing, 207 Boggess, Greenville, Trafficking in a Legend Drug;
Stephanie N. Berry, 230 Wilson St. Greenville, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree;
Jonathan S. Milan, 1103, Front Street, Central City, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, meth<2g.;
Tony Glen Oldham, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, meth> 2 grams;
Daniel J. Merlin, 4791 St Rt 70 W. Central City, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree;
Vincent V. Marks, 46 Jade W. Greenville, retaliating against participant in legal process;
Brock W. Lear, 418 W. Reservoir, Central City, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree;
Dorothy Dukes, 418 W. Reservoir, Central City, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree;
Jason Sutton, 800 Sutton Lane, Browder, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, meth;
Eric Lee, 510 W. Campbell, Greenville, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, meth <2 grams;
Jill Wood, 3910 Bard Hill, Greenville, possession of controlled substance, 1st degree;
Ronald Maurice Dillard, 280 Ditney Hill, Drakesboro, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, meth <2 grams;
Josie Ann Dunlap, 143 McConnel Drive, Central City, Possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree;
David Goins, 530 Carlton Dr. Owensboro, trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, meth, <2 g.
Peggy Ann Garrett, 13175 US 62 Central City trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree.

The investigation is ongoing and other arrests are expected over the weekend.

The Kentucky State Police, Probation and Parole Officers and Greenville, Powderly, and Central City Police Departments assisted in the roundup.
