 Vehicle Strikes two Trees in HWY 431 Accident North of Dunmor

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (02/09/15) – The Kentucky State Police (KSP) has reported an accident that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, Feb. 9.

KSP officials state that a one-vehicle accident occurred on 431 approximately one mile north of Dunmor at 7:15 AM.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Zaleigh Jordan, 17, of Beechmont, was operating a 2006 Toyota Tacoma southbound on US 431 when the passenger side tires dropped off the roadway. Ms. Jordan over-corrected and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the northbound lane and exited the roadway. The vehicle struck two trees before coming to rest off the roadway.

Ms. Jordan, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via a private vehicle to Multicare in Madisonville for treatment.

There were no passengers involved.

Trooper First Class Jerry Knight investigated the collision. Sergeant Matt Jordan assisted at the scene.
