Robbery in Hucks Parking Lot in Greenville

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (03/03/15) – The Greenville Police Department (GPD) has reported a robbery that took place at Hucks convenient store and gas station late Monday night.

Police officials state that at around 11:07 PM, GPD officers Tim Wright and Terry Dukes responded to Hucks after a report from a local female that she had been robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot. Officers found that the female was sitting in her car when a green two-door car pulled up next to her vehicle. A black male approached the woman’s car, pointed a gun at her and demanded that she give him a bag that was sitting in her car. The man left the scene immediately thereafter.

Powderly Police Chief Cecil Bard and Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Flener spotted the vehicle on Hopkinsville Street and pulled it over. The driver, 35-year-old Brandon Quarles of Madisonville, had a BB pistol in his vehicle matching the description of the gun used in the robbery. The bag taken from the female was located by Kentucky State Police Trooper Jacob Fortney on Hopkinsville Street.

Quarles was arrested and charged with Robbery 1st Degree and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

If anyone has further information on this case, please contact the Greenville Police Department immediately.
