 Russellville Police Chase Armed Man on Meth from Dairy Queen Parking Lot

WESTERN Ky. (03/06/2015) – The Russellville Police Department has reported a chase that took place on Monday, March 2, 2015, that began at the Russellville Dairy Queen.

Police officials state that Officers responded to a report of a man with a gun who was allegedly high on Meth. Officers attempted to make contact with the man, Scottie Bunch, who was sitting in the driver’s seat of a 1994 Oldsmobile. Bunch fled the scene by vehicle.

The vehicle pursuit led to Lakewood Lane where the suspects’ vehicle busted through a fence and into a cow pasture. Bunch then fled on foot and was captured by officers after a small chase.

Suspected Meth and Xanax were located on Bunch. A pistol was found in the vehicle, along with suspected Meth and a stolen iPad.

Bunch was arrested on charges of Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree on Police Officer, Fleeing/Evading Police 1st Degree (Vehicle), Reckless Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs, Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth) and Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree. Officers state that other charges will follow.

Bunch was lodged in the Logan County Detention Center.

The Russellville Police Department was assisted by the Logan County Sheriff’s Department and South Central Kentucky Task Force.
