Hunters Education Course Orange Card Class This Month in Muhlenberg 



WESTERN Ky. (03/11/2015) – Anyone interested in a Hunters Education Course Class "Orange Card" can obtain one after successfully attending the class starting on Monday, March 30 and 31st, 6:00pm-9:00pm/Tuesday, 6:00-9:00 and Gun Range Course on April 4th Saturday 7:00am until the Finish, usually around noon.

The location of classes will be at 1501 North 2nd Street in Central City, Ky. at the Central City Elementary School.

Those attending are asked to not bring any firearms to the class or to the range.

The Saturday Firearms Safety Course will be located at Paradise Road near the Powderly/Cleaton cutoff road at a range owned by Mitchell & Son Tractor Implement Salvage Yard with information provided by Instructor Joe Glenn Mitchell.

Those taking the course are asked to please arrive on time. Late arrivals during Class only will delay the Class for all participants. Certified Instructor Joe Glenn Mitchell will be present at all times with other Assistants.

Each person must pre-register online on the Ky. Dept. of Fish and Wildlife Website. Once on the site, click on the Hunter Ed. Tab.

This course is free. Anyone born after Jan.1, 1975 must obtain an "Orange Card" to hunt in Kentucky or several other States. Children 12 and older must obtain a Class and Card to hunt with an adult. Children age 9 and under aren’t qualified to obtain the course but must be with an adult at all times while hunting.

Class training includes study of hunters ethics, wildlife conservation, identification and field care of game, first aid, firearms safety, archery and muzzle loading.

Again, all participants must pre-register online on the Hunters Ed tab page of Kentucky the website. The class and course is free to take , no charge for anyone. It's a great class for all ages , especially youth and all hunters alike that do hunt! Good hunting skills can be freshened up for anyone that is interested in taking the course.
