 Central City Shoplifting Investigation Leads to Drug Arrest

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (03/18/15) – The Central City Police Department (CCPD) has reported an arrest that took place on Monday, March 16, resulting from a shoplifting report.

Central City Police Officer Jamie Jenkins informed reporters that CCPD Officer Reynolds and Assistant Chief Beadnell received a call from a local business reporting a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, Officers stopped a red pickup truck operated by 53-year-old Trudy M. Hamlin of Rochester.

Throughout the investigation, Hamlin was found to be in possession of suspected Meth, suspected Marijuana and various drug paraphernalia.

Hamlin was also found to have outstanding warrants from Ohio County and Warren County.

Hamlin was arrested on charges of Theft by Unlawful Taking, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Meth), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, No Registration Plates and Failure to Maintain Insurance.
