Stabbing Incident on Beech Creek Road 

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (04/02/15) – Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office officials have released information concerning a stabbing incident that took place today, Thursday, April 2, 2015.

Officials state that at around 9:00 AM, Deputies received a report of an altercation that had occurred at 718 Beech Creek Browder Road.

Once on the scene, Deputies were informed by witnesses that two males had gotten into a fight, resulting in one of the individuals receiving several lacerations from a knife.

After an investigation by Deputies, it was found that 52-year-old Timmy Steele, a Drakesboro resident, was the stabbing victim. Steele had been assaulted by 40-year-old Joseph Don Groves, also a Drakesboro resident.

At this time, Groves is currently still on the loose. A warrant has been issued for Groves arrest on charges of Assault 1st Degree.

Steele was transported to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The Sheriff’s Department was assisted on the scene by the Muhlenberg County EMS and the Beechmont Fire Department.
