Woman Arrested for Driving Under Influence with Infant in Vehicle and Fleeing Police twice 

KENTUCKY  (04/09/2015) – The Madisonville Police Department has performed an arrest on Thursday, April 9, 2015, at around 7:50 PM.

Police officials have released information stating that officers Taylor Boggs and Justin Jones pulled a vehicle over after the driver failed to utilize a turn signal. As the investigation went on, the driver was suspected to be under the influence. Also, an infant child was found in the back seat of the vehicle.

The driver claimed that her name was Lena Brewer and provided a social security number which actually belonged to her daughter. The drivers’ real name was Kristina Brewer. While attempting to perform sobriety tests, Brewer fled from the scene on foot. After a short pursuit, she was captured and taken into custody. Inside the vehicle officers found concealed brass knuckles and synthetic drugs. Officers located an authentic ID of Brewer inside the vehicle and found that she had a felony arrest warrant out of Florida.

Brewer was transported to Baptist Health where officers requested that she submit to a blood test. While in the hospital, Brewer attempted to flee once more and was apprehended again after a short pursuit. During this attempt to flee, Brewer resisted arrest and refused to comply with officers verbal commands. OC spray was then administered to gain compliance.

Brewer was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center on charges of Failure to Signal, No Insurance, DUI 1st Offense (Aggravated Circumstance), Operating on a Suspended Operator’s License, Theft of Identity without Consent, Fleeing/Evading Police 1st Degree X2, Fugitive from Another State, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Synthetic Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree.

Justin Jones was the Reporting Officer in this case.
