Tire Blowout on WK Parkway Results in Accident with Injuries 

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (04/13/15) – The Kentucky State Police has released in information regarding an accident that took place on Saturday, April 11, at approximately 8:37 AM.

Trooper Stu Recke reports that 22-year-old Kalisha Cunningham of Cora, West Virginia was traveling eastbound on the parkway when she had a tire blowout near the 42 mile marker. As a result of the blowout, Mrs. Cunningham lost control of her vehicle. The car exited the roadway and struck a guard rail.

Ms. Cunningham, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment.

Trooper Jonathan Murphy investigated the collision. Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
