 Several Juveniles Charged in Fight on College Street


MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (04/14/15) – The Greenville Police Department has reported an incident that took place on April 13 at approximately 8:40 PM resulting in charges on multiple youths.

Greenville Police Department officials state that officers responded to a report of a physical altercation. Several teenage juveniles allegedly went to an area near Greenville Elementary School following arguments over a pair of stolen headphones. The juveniles met up with intentions to fight. The dispute quickly evolved into a physical altercation.

There were no indications of the use of any firearms.

One juvenile sustained injuries and was sent to Kosair Hospital in Louisville. The juvenile has since been released from the hospital.

After investigation, Greenville Police Department has charged several of the juveniles with either Assault 2nd Degree or Disorderly Conduct 2nd Degree. Charges are pending for all others involved in the incident.

Greenville Police Department stated that they will maintain zero tolerance for any incident involving violence.

Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, Powderly Police Department, Greenville Fire Department, and Muhlenberg EMS assisted at the scene.
