Muhlenberg Citizens Asked to Help Identify Suspects in Cemetery Vandalism Case

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (04/24/15) – The Powderly Police Department is currently investigating a case involving vandalism that took place in a cemetery in the Powderly area.

The Old Dovey Cemetery, widely known as the Bell Witch Cemetery, located at the end of Old Central City Road in Powderly, is the location of the vandalism.

“Family members of individuals buried in the graveyard are very upset over the vandalism, and they have every right to be,” said Chief Bard.

Officials ask that if you have any information regarding suspects in this case, please contact Central Dispatch at 270-338-2000 or the Powderly Police Department at 270-338-5123.
