Attempted Murder Suspect and One Other Arrested

KENTUCKY  (05/17/2015) – On Saturday, May 16, 2015, Madisonville Police officials arrested a local resident on charges of Attempted Murder, plus another man that attempted to damage a police vehicle.

Just prior to the arrest, Officer Justin Crump observed 23-year-old Montre Brown, a subject wanted for Attempted Murder out of Christian County, standing under a carport at 670 Silkwood Avenue in Madisonville.

Officers converged around the home in order to secure the residence. During this process, 28-year-old Michael Figueiredo came out of the home screaming and cursing obscenities at officers. After being arrested for charges of Alcohol Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct, Figueiredo lied to officers about his name and social security number. Once placed inside the police vehicle, Figueiredo began to kick the window in the back of the patrol vehicle, knocking the window off tracks and causing heavy damage to the window frame.

At that time, the rest of the individuals inside the residence exited the home without resistance, with the exception of Mr. Brown. Brown refused to leave the residence of around one hour. Eventually Brown came out of the front door and was arrested.

While Figueiredo was waiting to be booked at the Hopkins County Jail, he threatened Police Officers and their families with physical violence.
