Parks and Recreation Announces 2015 Take a Kid Fishing Event 

WESTERN Ky. (05/27/2015) – For the third year in a row, local children will have an opportunity to have fun, enjoy the great outdoors of Muhlenberg County and possibly win prizes.

This years’ Take a Kid Fishing event will take place on June 13, 2015, from 9 AM until 1 PM at Luzerne Lake in the Greenville area.

Last year, 2014, a huge crowd of local citizens took part in this event.

Aside from the prizes, all children participating will receive a T-shirt and lunch onsite.

Pre-registration for this event is $1.00 per child and $1.00 per adult attending, with $2.00 onsite registration. Children taking part in the contests must be between the ages of 3-15 years old.

Those interested in attending this year can register online at mcparks.org or pick up registration forms at Old National Bank, 1st National Bank, 1st Security Bank, 1st Kentucky bank or Commonwealth Community Bank. Once the forms are completed, they should be dropped off at the Muhlenberg Conservation District, Utility offices at Central City, Greenville, Drakesboro or Powderly, the Muhlenberg County Water District, Rural King, GMPRS office or Pizza Plus.

This event is being hosted by the Greater Muhlenberg Parks and Recreation System, Muhlenberg RSVP, Pennyrile Resource Conservation and Development Council, the City of Greenville, Muhlenberg County Fiscal Court, the Muhlenberg Fishing Team, Muhlenberg County Conservation District and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
