 Two Arrested After Meth Lab Found in Vehicle in Kroger Parking Lot

KENTUCKY (06/15/15) – The Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office has made yet another strike against drug activity today, June 15, 2015, after discovering an active meth lab in a vehicle.

Sheriff’s Office Deputy Alex Piper states that the Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip regarding possible drug activity. Detective Wade Griggs located the individuals reported, while parked in the lot of Kroger in the Powderly area.

After a search of the vehicle, Detective Griggs located an active Meth Lab and other materials utilized in the manufacturing of Meth. Detective Griggs arrested 46-year-old David Dewayne Coursey, a resident of Greenville, and 35-year-old Amanda Griffin, a Central City resident.

Both were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense.

Both individuals were lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.

The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and the Powderly Police Department assisted on the scene.
