 Muhlenberg Career HSD Principal Jim Price Announces Retirement

KENTUCKY (06/29/15) – Locally well-known lifetime educator Jim Price has announced his upcoming retirement.

Mr. Price graduated from Western Kentucky University in 1976 and began his education career in 1977. Throughout his 38 years working in education he taught different grade levels, served as assistant basketball coach, assistant principal and athletic director within the Muhlenberg County education system. For the past twelve years, he has proudly served as the Career High School Principal at the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center. During his tenure he was vital to the establishment of the Bulldog Bike Club and annual golf tournaments. He traveled through good and bad weather conditions, riding many miles with students and staff to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis charity.

The Muhlenberg Job Corps Center has benefited from Mr. Price’s leadership and passion for both learning and teaching. So much so, that the career high school staff and himself educated students to obtain over 1,400 high school diplomas during his tenure.

The staff and students of the Muhlenberg Job Corps Center and contractor, Horizons Youth Services stated that they wish to thank Mr. Price for his time and experience shared with Job Corps and wishes him all the best in his retirement. They stated that they will never forget all his daily contributions to this program.
