 Accident with Injuries on Pennyrile Parkway Resulting from Synthetic Marijuana Use

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky.(07/10/15) – The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department has reported an accident that took place on Friday, July 10, 2015 at around 10:49 AM.

Sheriff’s Office officials state that Kenneth Law, a resident of Madisonville, was traveling northbound on the Pennyrile Parkway. Witnesses reported that Mr. Law struck a guardrail and overcorrected crossing the median into the southbound lane, striking the vehicle operated by Kristy Wells of Hanson. Mr. Law then crossed back into the northbound lane and came to a final stop in a grassy area.

Mr. Law was transported to Baptist Health for minor injuries.

Mr. Law was cited on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of and Possession of Synthetic Marijuana.

The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Madisonville Police Department, Madisonville Fire Department, and Medical Center Ambulance. Deputy Heath Owens was the reporting officer in this case.
