Arrest Made in Case of Vehicle Stolen from Hospital 

WESTERN Ky. (07/22/15) – On Tuesday, July 21, KenCo News reported on an investigation of a car stolen from the Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Today, July 22, the Greenville Police Department (GPD) has issued an update on the case.

Officer Wes Miller with GPD states that a 2005 Pontiac G6 stolen from the hospital has been recovered and returned to the owner.

Greenville Police received information that Shirley N. Smith, 28, of Drakesboro, possibly stole the car. On July 21, 2015, Muhlenberg Sheriff's Deputies responded to Bremen for a complaint and located Shirley Smith while investigating the complaint. The vehicle was located and returned to the owner.

Greenville Police arrested Smith and charged her with Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000, Theft of Identity of Another, Promoting Contraband 2nd Degree, and a Bench Warrant.

The Greenville Police Department was assisted by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office.
