 Arrest Made in Russellville Home Invasion Case

WESTERN Ky. (07/31/15) – The Russellville Police Department has announced an arrest made in a recent Home Invasion investigation.

Police officials told KenCo News that on July 24, just after midnight, officers responded to a complaint of a prowler at 194 East 7th Street in Russellville. Once on the scene, a search of the area was conducted and the suspect was not located.

Approximately one hour later the homeowner contacted officers again stating that someone was inside her residence, attempting to open her locked bedroom door.

Upon arrival, officers noted that the back door of the home had been kicked in and the suspect had left the residence through the front door. Officers issued a public request for information on the incident directly thereafter.

On July 30, Officers arrested a male named Stacey Joe Carter on charges of Burglary (2nd Degree).

Video surveillance revealed a white male fitting Carter’s description forcing entry into the victims residence. Evidence from the scene was connected to Carter.
