WESTERN KY (09/10/16) -On Saturday, September 3, 2016, a Madisonville Police Department Officer accompanied a Muhlenberg County ministry in taking three local children on a fishing trip on the East end of the county.

Recently, Madisonville Police Officer Lt. William Poe partnered with SOS Ministries of Muhlenberg County to take three children on the ministry weekly fishing tournament. Elijah Arndell and Lucas Wood, both of Muhlenberg County, and James Graham of Russellville went to a small tributary/creek off of Green River with Lt. Poe and Ministry leader Jess Graham.

“It was a true honor to have Lt. Poe with us for this outdoor adventure,” said Mr. Graham. “I’ve had the honor of knowing Lt. Poe for many years and he has always proven himself to be an outstanding officer, a hardcore outdoorsman, and a very honest and morally sound fellow.”

All three children that were present at the fishing adventure had an excellent time and were very excited to have met Lt. Poe.
