Hopkinsville Man Injured in Freightliner Accident 

WESTERN Ky. (9/22/2014) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Clark Store Sinking Fork Road, approximately eight miles north of Hopkinsville, on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at 6:41 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Christopher Sutton, 39, of Hopkinsville, was operating a 1991 Freightliner northbound on Clark Store Sinking Fork Road. The vehicle was hauling anhydrous ammonia.

As the vehicle was northbound, it exited the right edge of the roadway. The vehicle re-entered the roadway and exited off the left shoulder. It overturned and came to rest on the left shoulder of the roadway.

Mr. Sutton was transported via ambulance and Life Flight to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN for treatment.

He was wearing a seatbelt. There were no passengers involved.

No leak of anhydrous ammonia was reported.

Trooper Jeff Ayres investigated the collision. The Christian County Sheriff’s Department, Hopkinsville Fire Department, and Hopkinsville/Christian County EMS assisted at the scene.
