Three-Car Collision on South Main in Madisonville

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (10/9/2014) – The Madisonville Police has released information regarding a three-vehicle accident that took place on Oct. 9 at approximately 12:15 PM.

Police officials state that 65-year-old Ruth Wood of Mortons Gap was traveling northbound on South Main in a 2000 Jeep Cherokee when she rear-ended a stopped Honda Van driven by 40-year-old Gregory Lagrange. As a result, Lagranges’ vehicle was forced into the rear bumper of a Toyota operated by 34-year-old Christy Parrish of St. Charles.

During the investigation into the accident, Wood admitted to officers that she was talking to her husband and was not paying attention to the stopped traffic in the northbound lane.

The only injury reported was a passenger in Wood’s vehicle that had a nose bleed and refused medical attention.
