Public Invited to “Tip A Cop” Event

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (10/137/2014) – Would you like to take part in a local Hopkins County fundraiser to benefit the Kentucky Special Olympics? On the alternate end, would you like to dunk a cop into the water? This Saturday, Oct. 18, you will have an opportunity to partner with local law enforcement to help out this worthy cause.

On Saturday, Brother’s Bar-B-Que, located at 1055 North Main Street in Madisonville, will be partnering with the Madisonville Police Department, Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office, the Hopkins County Jail, Kentucky State Police and Probation and Parole, as well as community citizens, in the Tip A Cop event.

At Brother’s Bar-B-Que, from 11 AM to 8 PM, officers will be serving food, with the tips given by customers going completely towards the Special Olympics.

There will also be a dunking booth, a jail cell and a wing-eating contest between officers, where local citizens can also be involved.

Good fun, community support and great food will be experienced. The public is invited to attend.
