 Madisonville Man Arrested after Admitting Theft from Neighbor

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (12/05/2014) – The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) has reported an arrest in regards to a burglary that recently took place. MPD officials state that on Thursday, Dec. 4,

Officer Jeff Miller was dispatched to Pennyrile Apartments after a theft was reported by Thomas Harageones. Once on the scene, officers made contact with Harageones neighbor, Archie Adamson, in a nearby apartment. Adamson openly stated that he had purchased the stolen items, a Sony Playstation 3 and several video games, from an unknown male for $50.00.

Officers continued questioning Adamson after arresting him for three outstanding Hopkins County warrants. Eventually, Adamson admitted that on Sunday morning, Nov. 30, 2014, he picked the door lock at Harageones apartment and entered the residence in search of items to steal to sell for cash. Adamson stated that he took some of the games to Sam Goody’s Store on Madison Square Drive and sold them for $83.00 in cash.

Adamson was lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on charges of Burglary 2nd Degree.
