Greenville Police Department “Shop with a Cop” Day a Success

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (12/13/2014) – On Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 thirteen families were blessed to have an opportunity for a better Christmas thanks to the efforts of the Board of Education Family Resource Center, the Greenville Police Department and several local businesses and individuals that stepped forward to give to those undergoing financial hardships.

Local youth were met at 8:30 at the door of the Wal-Mart in Central City by Sally Washburn (Family Resource Center), Officer Matt Adams, Officer Wes Miller, Officer Eric Maddox and Greenville Police Chief Darren Harvey.

KenCo News reporters were excited to follow the officers and the local youth as they excitedly chose their gifts.

It was a moving moment at the end of the event as the youth came to the officers with handshakes and hugs, thanking them.

A special thanks goes out to all those involved in providing a happy Christmas for our local children.
