Madisonville Man Arrested for Dealing Drugs in Home with Children 

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (12/17/2014) – As a result of an ongoing police investigation, The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) Narcotics Unit executed a warrant at 671 Princeton Road.

Upon execution of said warrant, contact was made between officers and Justin D. Hughes, who was inside the residence with two unrelated women and two small children.

A thorough search of the home produced a combination of prescription medication and illegal drugs prepared for sale, along with two different digital scales. Hughes, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of a .45 caliber handgun.

Among the drugs found were Crack Cocaine, Marijuana and Synthetic Drugs. Also found was a prescription medication known as Suboxone. As a total, there was approximately 86 grams of Marijuana, 213 Grams of Synthetics and 7.5 grams of Crack Cocaine.

Hughes was also found to be in possession of $638.00 in cash.

Hughes was arrested on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine, Firearm Enhanced), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Firearm Enhanced) Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs 2nd or Subsequent Offense (Firearm enhanced) and Trafficking in Marijuana under 8 ounces (Firearm Enhanced).
