HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (12/21/2014) – On Sunday, Dec. 21, at around 4:06 AM, the Madisonville Police Department (MPD) was dispatched to the scene of an accident that occurred on Stagecoach Road.

MPD officials state that 20-year-old Caleb McNeily, a resident of  Providence, KY, was driving southbound on Stagecoach Road in a 2001 white Dodge pickup truck. Mr. McNeily  told officers that a deer ran across the roadway, forcing him to swerve to the right. McNeily’s vehicle struck a mailbox at 385 Stagecoach on the right side of the road. The truck then struck a culvert, causing it to go airborne. The vehicle hit the ground, coming to a final stop in a driveway facing south.

Mr. Doane, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Baptist Health by ambulance for possible injuries.
