Vehicle Rollover Near Job Corp on 181 North

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (12/24/2014) –On Dec. 24, at approximately 8:15 AM, various local officials were dispatched to the scene of a single-vehicle accident reported on HWY 181 North, just south of the Job Corps entrance.

Kentucky State Police, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office and various other local first responders were on the scene as KenCo News Reporters arrived.

After speaking to various individuals working the accident, reporters were told that a small Chevrolet pickup was traveling southbound on 181 North, operated by a male driver. The driver topped the hill just south of Job Corp and exited the road on the west side of the roadway. The vehicle then traveled over a driveway and into a valley, striking a culvert and overturning, coming to a final stop on the roof of the vehicle at the 3500 block of HWY 181 North.

The driver was removed from the vehicle by EMS and firefighters, with obvious injuries sustained. The overall severity of the injuries is not known at this time.

The driver was transferred by Ambulance to Owensboro Hospital for treatment of injuries.

The accident was worked by the Kentucky State Police, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office, Greenville Police Department, Greenville Fire Department, Wendell H. Ford Center, the Bremen Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS.

The Kentucky State Police will likely be releasing further details. KenCo News will keep you updated.
