Vehicle Flips Forward near Lake Malone

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. (12/26/2014) –At around 4:30 PM on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, an accident was reported in the Rosewood area, involving a vehicle rollover.

Officials were dispatched to the scene of the accident that occurred in the 1900 block of State Route 973. Once on the scene, Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Deputy Alex Piper informed reporters that a 2009 Pontiac G6, operated by a female driver, was traveling eastbound along the highway. The vehicle veered off the highway on the eastbound lane and struck a culvert, resulting in the vehicle flipping forward and coming to a stop on the roof.

Deputy Piper stated that the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, but there were no official medical results as of this time.

There were no passengers in the vehicle and the driver was wearing a seatbelt.

This incident was worked by Deputy/Public Relations Officer Alex Piper, the Dunmore Fire Department, Constable Denny Blythe, and the Muhlenberg County EMS.

The vehicle was removed from the scene by Harvey Towing.
