Greenville Man Arrested for Pulling Gun on Local Citizen. 

MUHLENBERG COUNTY, KY (12/29/2014) - The Greenville Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a dispute on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014.

At approximately 4:43 PM, a call came in to Central Dispatch regarding a domestic dispute that had gotten out of control. KenCo News spoke with Greenville Police Officer Tommy Fauntleroy regarding the dispute.

Officer Fauntleroy stated that 34-year-old William Childers, a Greenville resident, was involved in a domestic dispute with a citizen on HWY 601, at the individuals’ residence. Childers allegedly pulled a .45 caliber pistol on the citizen, pointing it at her. Officers were called to the scene, arresting Childers on charges of Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) and Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree.

Officer Fauntleroy stated that there were very minor injuries to the victim as a result of the dispute, but the weapon was not fired.

Police Officials have not released the name of the victim at this time.

The Greenville Police Department was assisted on the scene by the Powderly Police Department and the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Office.
