Madisonville Man Throws Drugs on Roof to Hide from Police

HOPKINS COUNTY, KY (12/31/2014) - The Madisonville Police Department has reported an arrest that occurred today, Dec. 31, 2014, in regard to drugs.

Police officials state that the Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 31 North Harrig Street in an ongoing narcotics investigation. Once officers arrived at the residence, the occupant, 36-year-old Terence Cruite was seen exiting the back of the residence. Cruite was spotted throwing objects onto the roof of the home, and then ran back inside.

Once inside, Officers found two other adults and four juveniles. Officers found the items thrown onto the roof, consisting of two large bags of synthetic drugs and scales.

Officers continued the search inside the residence and located other paraphernalia, suspected marijuana and other suspected synthetic drugs. Suspected cash proceeds from sales were seized as well.

Cruite was charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess.

The Madisonville Narcotics Unit was assisted on the scene by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
