CENTRAL CITY, Ky. (11/24/2013) – On Saturday, KSP Troopers Jon McGehee and Jacob Fortney arrested a Bremen resident for drug-related causes during a traffic stop. Today, Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, Trooper McGehee and Fortney initiated another traffic stop that led to a very similar arrest.

     Troopers Fortney and McGehee pulled over a 2000 Chevy passenger car in Central City, operated by 38-year-old Donald Thomas Rutledge JR, for a seatbelt violation. After conducting sobriety tests, it was determined that Rutledge was under the influence of controlled substances. The Troopers also found Methamphetamine and items used to ingest controlled substances, as well as prescription medication in the vehicle.

     Considering the circumstances, Mr. Rutledge was also charged with concealing a Deadly Weapon due to a baseball bat concealed by the drivers’ seat.

     Rutledge was lodged at the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
